This piece was requested by the Willow Foundation who create special days for seriously ill young adults. We travelled to Kent to take the mould of Chris and Karyn in her hospice bed. Karyn was very ill so well pulled out all the stops to finish it overnight and return the next day with the finished piece. She was able to to see the results before she very sadly passed away. Chris said that holding hands in that bucket was like getting married all over again. The best day they’d had together since her diagnosis.
It’s an honour to be trusted with such sensitive work at such a difficult time in someone’s life. We’re glad to be able to do this for our community and will always try to drop everything to attend to those dying or to cast the deceased as quickly as we can.
