What our lovely customers have to say…
“I came across Jamie about 15 years ago through work. We needed a body caster for a television documentary and after much research it was clear that Jamie was the best in the business.
When my father was diagnosed with cancer and only given several months I had the idea of immortalising him in of one of Jamie’s sculptures. My first thought was a handshake. On my first day at secondary school. I was nervous and scared. My father reached out his hands, looked me in eyes, shook my hand and told me I will be fine. It’s the first time I remember shaking his hand.
His hands were so familiar and now I have that memory in physical form forever. The symbolism of our handshakes were important to him too and he was able to see the finished article before he passed. It remained on the mantlepiece in the room that he passed in. It was probably one of the last thing he saw and that brings me great comfort.
Another vivid memory of my father was him swirling his brandy glass at Christmas playing games or laughing and joking. Jamie was able to take a cast of my fathers hand holding one of the brandy glasses I got him. Every Christmas now I am able to fill up his glass with brandy and raise a toast to him. It’s like he is still included in our family events.
Jamie also sealed my father’s ashes inside so it is a part of him in more ways than one. Quite simply, Jamie’s work is amazing. The pieces I have are perfect and I would highly recommend.”

“Just wanted to say how delighted we are with the casting. It’s exceeded all our expectations. It has pride of place in the living room, although I’m not sure I’m entirely comfortable with everyone seeing my bum, fortunately you’ve made it look great:)

I’m lucky enough to have married a dancer who has kept herself in perfect shape and I personally like nothing more than admiring Katie naked. So, for my 50th, I decided to treat myself, with her permission, to a body cast, a permanent way to appreciate her gorgeous physique.
After searching on the internet I contacted Jamie as it was clear he had the skills and experience to create the artwork. (He used to work in the movie industry bringing weird stuff to life for arty movie directors so lips, hands, genitals, legs are tame stuff… he’s seen it, done it, he’s very professional).
The whole experience was actually great fun, I was allowed to sit in and watch the process, and the results are AMAZING. Worth every penny. Remember, this isn’t a limited edition run of 500, it’s a one off unique piece of art. That’s what Jamie and his team are creating for you, art. Not an ornament or fridge magnet, this is artwork to look at, admire and love for years to come.
I highly recommend Jamie. You need look no further.

“I don’t know much about sculpture, but I’ve always thought that if the finest pieces – say Michelangelo’s “David” or Rodin’s “The Kiss” – pay homage to the ultimate beauty of the human form, then surely if you’re going to own a sculpture, why not celebrate the beauty of your own lover?
My wife Rachel and I love Brighton and we had toyed visiting Jamie’s studio for a couple casting few years. I turned 60 recently and so we decided to go for it! We immediately felt at home with Jamie: he was very warm and fun, and so knowledgeable, and experienced. Jamie carefully worked through the options that might be possible for poses. We immediately knew we were in great hands.
We turned up for our casting session full of anticipation and excitement – this would be a once in a lifetime experience! Jamie and his lovely assistant applied the moulding material onto us, working quickly and explained everything as he went. He was sensitive, thoughtful, and very professional; there was also lots of laughter all round! And he took some photos for us to record this extraordinary event!
We decided to go for a bit of an “out there” bespoke finish, and we so pleased with the result! Jamie took great care to match the colour and the finish we wanted. We now have a simply stunning, unique, outstanding, and oh so personal piece of sculpture. It certainly wows all visitors to our house, and hangs on our wall as a symbol of my wife and I, and all that we feel we may represent to each other and outward to the world. I say, have some fun and go for it!”

“When my husband said that all he really wanted for his 50th birthday was a body cast of my boobs, I could’ve killed him for the following reasons: a) We were mid-pandemic. b) There aren’t that many body casters out there, and c) I didn’t really relish the idea of getting my kit off in front of a stranger.
Sherry – Oxford
“Dear Jamie,
I just want to sincerely thank you for the high level of craftsmanship
you lavished on our ‘holding hands’ cast sculpture. The details and
finish is beautiful. It is one of the most meaningful pieces of art we
have ever commissioned. It will be a treasured memorial to our
relationship and bring comfort when my husband passes away. Your
sensitive approach to the project put us at our ease, thank you for all
you care and skill.”

“Where do I even start! I came to Jamie after having the idea to get a cast done for my long distance boyfriend who lives overseas. After searching around online at different studios it was clear that Brighton Body Casting was the most suitable, professional and just the best studio for what I wanted. We had a quick back and forth on email to talk about ideas and calm my nerves, and I can’t commend Jamie enough for his professionalism. He accommodated me so well and I honestly can’t recommend him and his team more highly.

“This amazing company have given me the best gift ever! My 13 year old son is terminally ill and we were told he had come to the end of his journey and had 2-3days left to live whist on end of life care and medications. I explained all of this to Jamie at the studio and that we would need a few things done differently due to our situation, but I wanted a cast of my 5 children holding hands, something that would soon, no longer be possible. Sadly, the cost was more than I could afford, (though so worth it). But Jamie was amazing and decided to do it for us anyway at a snippit of the price. He came to our home and worked around my son’s wheelchair, medical equipment and everything else that was thrown into the mix. The result is a beautiful plaster cast of my 5 children holding hands, the detail is incredible and this piece of true art will be cherished in our home forever. I can not recommend this company enough, so friendly, professional and compassionate. Can not thank them enough for something so precious. X”

“Jamie made an idea that I’d had for almost a decade come to life for my husband’s 50th birthday. I contacted him about the possibility of casting my bottom with little lead time before the Big Day, made more difficult by our living in Jersey, so having to get to his studio without my husband suspecting anything. Jamie was incredibly accommodating, fitting my visit in when I happened to be transiting from Heathrow to Gatwick en route back to Jersey. With not much time to get it all done, he had everything ready to go. What might have been quite an inhibiting experience was both professional and casual, putting me completely at ease. Jamie had a relatively short window to get the cast done and shipped over to me in Jersey, and in the end brought the cast and base himself to me in Jersey to assemble.
I had a very particular style in mind, and in the short time we had together, Jamie got exactly what I had in mind. The end result is stunning; a real piece of art rather than just a cast of my bum. My husband was overwhelmed with the gift, as are my girlfriends, who may soon be following in my steps… Thanks J”

“Jamie, Thank you again for creating a superb portrait of my son, which was a present to my wife.
Her reaction was, “Love it, love it, love it!” so you have exceeded all expectations.
From my initial phone call to your studio the communications from you on progress has been excellent. I know I gave you a challenge with the timescales but you delivered with excellence. It was enjoyable to watch the moulding process and you made Ed feel at ease even though you were covering him with various moulding substances. The mould taking was very quick and the additional work to re-create the hair, eyes and features was impressive.
I wish you all the success in the future and I would be very happy to speak with any of your new clients about the whole process.
I hope we will meet again soon.”
Simon – Hampshire
“I don’t think there are any words that will truly express how grateful I am to Jamie for the masterpiece and life time precious gifts that he created.
Having to suddenly say goodbye to my beautiful dog Barney there was absolutely no question that I needed a part of him that was tangible to have with me forever. The casts that Jamie created were not just art, they have given me a part of my boy that allows me to feel close to him; which continues to bring me immense comfort.
What’s even more heartwarming is the passion, commitment and empathy that Jamie shows. He went above and beyond for me, cancelling personal plans on a Sunday to ensure I did not miss out on the gift I so desperately needed and wanted at a time of overwhelming grief.
In my opinion Jamie is an amazing artist and incredible human being.”
Claire King – Brighton
“I contacted Jamie about a cast of my bum as a present for my partner. He really made me feel at ease as he talked me through the different finishes, poses and the process.
On the casting day Jamie explained in more detail all parts of the casting process which is done in a private room next to the main studio. He’s very professional and what could have been an embaressing experience was comfortable and fun in an odd way. Be prepared for some off the wall converstaions. There is a changing room where you can get cleaned up and dressed afterwards. I was in and out in about an hour and a half.
Once the cast was ready, Jamie rang to organise collection. He happened to be travelling past my area so we met on route which was super of him and saved me a journey.
My partner loves the cast and says it is the best present he has ever been given. I love it too and would like to have another cast done in the future and wouldnt hesitate to go back to Jamie. I am so glad I went and had it done.”
Vicky – Portsmouth
“Absolutely brilliant experience. It’s took me just under a month of planning to have our wedding hands set in bronze. My hand was set first in time for Christmas and then my husband’s set in the same way and both put together on a marble base. The service was A Star. Jamie is a really nice guy and easy to get on with. Excellent service and highly recommended.”

“I would like to thank you all at Brighton Body Casting for the way in which you guided me through the process of creating this piece: at a time when even factual information was difficult to assimilate, you helped me to make a number of subjective decisions regarding the sculpture on concepts which were unfamiliar to me. Your patience in lucidly explaining the options and processes numerous times until I could make a decision was much appreciated. Your kindness and understanding helped me get though those 6 months without me dissolving into tears.
When I first contacted you, I had no idea what the end result would be. I was unprepared for the amount of interest this idea would generate from friends, who regularly demanded updates on progress. They were intrigued and delighted as each milestone was reached. Thank you for your willingness to venture in to the unknown, for finding collaborating with fellow creative people and ensuring that their work met your high standards. The end result is a wonderful bronze which I treasure.”
