Trinny & Susannah brought themselves and 8 other women to our seafront studio to have their bottoms cast for their TV program. Unfortunately the TV show insisted we do not work on them as we normally would to fix any blemishes, cellulite etc to look as beautiful as possible, as is normal in any portraiture. As a result many of the women were disappointed with the “warts and all” results. Oh well. Bloody TV!

In May 2007 Jamie McCartney created an artwork whilst stranded on a sailing boat in a windless Atlantic Ocean. He threw 3 bottles into the sea on 3 consecutive days as he approached the Azores. In its early stages The Great Wall of Vagina was known as “Design A Vagina” as a comment on ‘designer vagina’ surgeries. In this 2008 film from a ten part Channel 5 series exploring sex and sexuality, Jamie casts a woman who feels insecure about her labia. The experience totally changes her feelings about herself. These early successes inspired Jamie to continue the work and develop it into the now famous artwork.
